Raised in Colorado Springs, Colorado, USA, Caroline Diane Wilson began her serious training with German Zamuel and Valentina Moukhanova Zamuel at Zamuel Ballet School in Colorado, USA. In 2006, she was a Youth America Grand Prix national finalist and scholar, receiving a scholarship to train at The National Ballet School in Toronto, Canada. In 2007, she was again a YAGP national finalist, receiving a full scholarship to train at the John Cranko Ballett Schule and Staatliche Ballettakademie, Stuttgart, Germany.
As a student, she performed with Stuttgart Ballet in Ashton's La Fille Mal Gardee and Haydee/Petipa's Sleeping Beauty. As well as dancing lead in the John Cranko BallettAkademie's European tours in George Balanchine's Grand Pas de Deux from Sylvia. Upon graduation in 2010, Caroline was named as an apprentice with the San Francisco Ballet. She was promoted to corps de ballet in 2011 and her repertory includes Tomasson’s Giselle, Romeo and Juliet and Nutcracker; Balanchine’s Coppélia, Symphony in C, Divertimento #15, Scotch Symphony and The Four Temperaments; Neumeier’s The Little Mermaid; Forsythe’s Artifact Suite; Tomasson/Possokhov's Don Quixote; Ratmansky's Le Carnaval des Animaux; and John Cranko's Onegin.
