Born in Glen Rock, New Jersey, Carrie Jensen began her ballet training at the age of five. From the age of seven she studied at the Helena Baron School of Ballet under full scholarship. Jensen has danced under the instruction of Helen Baron, Paul Sutherland, Brunilda Ruiz, Ralph DiRienzo and Olga Dvorovenko. As a member of the Baron Ballet Company, Jensen danced leading roles in The Firebird and The Sleeping Beauty. She was awarded a full private scholarship to attend the School of American Ballet’s Summer Program and attended American Ballet Theatre’s Summer Intensive Program for three years.
Jensen joined ABT’s Studio Company in January 1999 and, in August 2000, joined American Ballet Theatre as a member of the corps de ballet. Her repertoire includes Nocturne in Fall River Legend, as well as roles in all of the Company’s full-length ballets.
