Born: Chile
César Morales trained at the Municipal Theatre's Ballet School in Santiago before being offered a scholarship by Ben Stevenson to train at the Houston Ballet Academy. He joined Ballet de Santiago at 16, and was promoted to Principal within two years. During his time with Ballet de Santiago César danced the lead roles in Swan Lake, Giselle, The Sleeping Beauty, Romeo and Juliet, The Nutcracker and La Fille mal gardée, and created the role of Conrad in Bustamante's Le Corsaire. He won gold medals at both the Prague and New York International Ballet Competitions in 2002 and 2003 respectively, and the Altazor Prize awarded by the professional dancers of Chile both years. He joined English National Ballet in 2004, dancing the male principal roles in all the classics. In 2006 he danced with the Vienna Staatsoper as a Principal Guest Artist and joined Birmingham Royal Ballet in 2008.

With Birmingham Royal Ballet: leading rolls in Bintley's Beauty and the Beast, 'Still Life' at the Penguin Café; and Sylvia and title rolls in MacMillan's Romeo and Juliet, Balanchine's Serenade, Nureyev's Raymonda Act III and Ashton's Enigma Variations.
