Cindy Huang began her early dance training at the age of ten in Riverside, California, under the direction of David Allan and Glenda Carhart. Since the age of thirteen, she has studied with the American Ballet Theatre and under full merit scholarship at the School of American Ballet, San Francisco Ballet School, and the Pacific Northwest Ballet School. While a student at the School of American Ballet, Ms. Huang had original works created on her by choreographers Christopher D'amboise, Edwaard Liang, Charlotte Griffin, and Davide Bombana. In 2007, Ms. Huang joined the Miami City Ballet as a Company Apprentice and was promoted to the Corps de Ballet in 2009. Since joining Miami City Ballet, Ms. Huang has performed an extensive number of works by George Balanchine, and has had the opportunity to travel around the world to places like Vail, Colorado for the Vail International Dance Festival, and most recently to Paris, France for Les Etes de la Danse. In 2011, Ms. Huang performed with Les Grands Ballets Canadiens de Montreal and as a Soloist with Inland Pacific Ballet. Ms. Huang's television and film work consist of performances of Balanchine's Square Dance and Western Symphony, broadcasted on PBS in the fall of 2011, and a role in a short film entitled, "The Ballet Dancer," (2012) directed by Scott Eriksson.
