sg: Dear Dana, thank you so much for answering me. If she starts learning French before she goes, I assume she will know baby French. Do you think it will be easier for her to study academics there? Also ,is there option not to board there and study academic in English outside the school? How do you compare POB training with Boshoi?

DG: Go for it, and be as prepared as possible, the fact that she is so young is a great thing. She will adapt. You should go with her, it is best. The Paris opera is vastly different from the bolshoi. I don't know what the rules are since the new director took over. When I was there, we could not study outside the school. Hope this helps!

sg: Dear Dana, I have a 10 year old daughter who goes to SAB. I would like to audition her for POB next year. Can you please tell me about your experience there. My daughter is a New Yorker and does not speak french

DG: It was a challenge socially. If your daughter is still in school, she will have to do the French academics. The language will take some time, but the ballet classes are awesome. I wished my parents moved with me abroad... It would be better to come home on the weekends. Hope this helps!

Started back to SFB for my 11th season with the company... I have to say, it feels fresh.
