Davide Dato

Davide Dato was born in Biella (Italy) in 1990.
He recieved his ballet education at the Vienna State Opera Ballet School where he graduated with the best marks in 2008. At the same time, he graduated from High School in Vienna. Additionally, he attended classes at School of American Ballet in New York.
He joined the Vienna State Opera Ballet in 2008 (today directed by Manuel Legris)as its youngest member dancing several solo roles.
He has been first Guest Dancer at the "Arena di Verona " at the Gala della notte delle stelle.
He performed as guest at the gala of Soloists of the Vienna State Ballet in Venice, (Italy), in Glories of Ballet in Erfurt (Germany), Malakhov Gala in St. Polten (Austria), at the International ballet Gala at the Temples-Theatre in Paestum (Italy), at the Red Cross International Ballet Gala in Udine (Italia) and had further appearences in Slowakia, Hungary ecc,..
He was awarded to:
- Bronze Medal at the ÖTR Contest 2007, Grinshko Special Prize, Hope of the ballet world prize,
- Silver medal at the international Ballet Competition Premio Roma 2008,
- First Price and "Orso d'oro" (="Gold Bear") in Vignale at the competition Teatro Nuovo di Torino 2008,
- First Price and Gold medal at the international competition in Istanbul 2008.
- Vienna State Opera Ballet club prize 2010.
- Sinfonie d' autore Award 2010 in Amalfi (Italy).
- Anita Bucchi Award as best Italian male dancer 2010.
- Guido Lauri Award 2011 as emergent artist.
