At the age of 16, Isabelle won the First Prize from the Paris Conservatoire and entered the Paris Opera Ballet School . After graduating the School in 1990 she joined the Paris Opera Ballet and was promoted to Première Danseuse (Principal Dancer) in 2003. In 2009, she was promoted to étoile . Her repertoire includes the main roles in the ballets La Sylphide and Giselle, the roles of Nikiya in La Bayadère and the Queen of Dryads in Don Quixote . She also dances in ballets by Roland Petit and George Balanchine, Serge Lifar and Jerome Robbins, Wayne McGregor and Jiří Kylián, William Forsythe and John Cranko. She excelled in the roles of Marguerite and Manon in La Dame aux camélias (chor. by John Neumeier).
