Born in New Orleans, Louisiana, Jacquelyn Reyes began dancing at four at the Giacobbe Academy of Dance. She joined the Delta Festival Ballet in 1997 and performed many leading roles in their productions including The Nutcracker, Hansel and Gretel and Aladdin. In 2003, she graduated from high school with honors after three years. Reyes has participated in many summer programs on scholarship including Pacific Northwest Ballet, The Rock School of Pennsylvania and was awarded the National Training Scholarship and Tolochko Award while dancing in American Ballet Theatre’s Summer Program from 1999-2003. She was chosen a National Foundation for the Advancement of the Arts winner and won the New Orleans Overture to the Cultural Season in 2003.
Reyes joined American Ballet Theatre’s Studio Company in September 2003, joined the main Company as an apprentice in April 2004 and became a member of the corps de ballet in April 2005. Her repertoire with the Company includes Her Other Stepsister in Cinderella, the Fairy of Joy in The Sleeping Beauty and a featured role in Ballo della Regina.
She created featured roles in From Here On Out and Rabbit and Rogue.
