Jérôme Marchand studied at the Conservatoire National Supérieur Musique et Danse in Lyon where he obtained a gold medal. In 1998, he joined the Ballets de Monte-Carlo. He has danced important roles in Jean-Christophe Maillot's creations such as Romeo and Juliet (Paris, Frère Laurent), Cinderella (The Father), Opus 40 , Entrelacs, D'une Rive à l'Autre, la Belle (Queen mother /Carabosse), Miniatures, Le Songe (Obéron), Altro Canto, Dov'è la Luna, Vers un Pays Sage. He has also worked with numerous guest choreographers: William Forsythe (The Second Detail, Enemy in the Figure), Sidi Larbi Cherkaoui (In Memoriam), Jacopo Godani (Beyonders, Getting Started, Kid Dynamo 2), Lucinda Childs (The Chairman Dances), Jiri Kylian (Sechs Tanz), Paul Lightfoot and Sol Leon (Signing off), Itzik Galili (Blue Grass), Lionel Hoche (Balistik), Maurice Béjart (Boléro), Castafiore (Very Small Creatures). His repertoire includes also Balanchine's ballets such as The Four Temperaments – phlegmatic, Violin Concerto.
