Julia received her early training from the Central Pennsylvania Youth Ballet and continued as a scholarship student with the San Francisco Ballet School.
In 2008 she joined Oregon Ballet Theatre under the artistic direction of Christopher Stowell. Since joining OBT, she has performed in Val Caniparoli's "Lambarena",
William Forsythe's "The Vertiginous Thrill of Exactitude", Jerome Robbins' "The Cage" and "The Concert"; George Balanchine's "Tarantella", "Emeralds", "The Four Temperaments", and the role of Dewdrop in "The Nutcracker". In addition, Julia has originated roles in James Kudelka's "Hush" and Christopher Stowell's "The Rite of Spring".
