Born in 1977 in La Rochelle, Julien Favreau studied classical and contemporary dance at the National School of Dance La Rochelle under the direction of Colette Milner in 1994 before entering the Ecole-Atelier Rudra Bejart Lausanne. Noticed early on by Maurice Bejart, he joined the Bejart Ballet Lausanne in August 1995.
