Born in Bangkok, Thailand, Nutnaree Pipit-Suksun trained at Varaporn and Kanchana Ballet School and The Royal Ballet School before joining the Company as a soloist in 2004. She has performed a variety of lead roles including the Snow Queen, Sugar Plum Fairy, and Arabian in Tomasson’s Nutcracker; Myrtha in Tomasson’s Giselle; the Lilac Fairy, Enchanted Princess, and Fairy of Tenderness in Tomasson’s The Sleeping Beauty; and pas de trios, Swan Maiden, Spanish Princess, and Russian Princess in Tomasson’s Swan Lake. Her repertory also includes Balanchine’s Divertimento No. 15 and The Four Temperaments, Bintley’s The Dance House, Possokhov’s Firebird and Reflections, Ratmansky’s Russian Seasons, Robbins’ In the Night and Glass Pieces, Tomasson’s 7 for Eight and The Fifth Season, Tudor’s Jardin aux Lilas, and Welch’s Falling. In addition, Pipit-Suksun created a role in Tomasson’s Bagatelles. In 2001, at the age of 15, she won the gold medal at the Adeline Genee Awards in London, becoming the youngest person in the competition’s history to receive the top honor.
