Octavio Martin

A native of Habana Cuba received his dance training at the Cuban National Ballet School "Alejo Carpentier" . Mr. Martin joined the National Ballet of Cuba in 1994 under the direction of Alicia Alonso , in 2001 is promoted to Primer Bailarin , during his twelve years at the National Ballet of Cuba, Mr. Martin represent the company in Galas , Festivals and Theaters of America Latina , Unites states , Europe and Asia, in 2004 received the “Alejo Campentier “ Medal , one of the highest artist honor in Cuba , the same year was invited like Principal guess artist to The Royal Winnipeg Ballet of Canada. In 2006 join The Sarasota Ballet under the direction of Robert de Warren and 2007/2011 under Iain Webb leadership.
