Paul was born in Oxford and trained at The Royal Ballet School. He joined the Company in 2003 and has since danced in works including the Beggar Chief in Kenneth MacMillan’s Manon, Anastasia, Romeo and Juliet, Mayerling, the Dancing Master in Ninette De Valois’ The Rake’s Progress, Bronislava Nijinska’s Les Noces, Hanz-Peter in The Nutcracker, Bratfisch in Mayerling, the Male Role in the Neapolitan Dance in Swan Lake, George Balanchine’s Prodigal Son, the Pas de six in Peter Wright’s production of Giselle, Alain in Ashton’s La Fille mal gardée, Kolia in his A Month in the Country, Cathy Marston’s Traces (Linbury 2003) and Alastair Marriott’s Being and Having Been (Linbury 2004).
He has also created a role in Wayne McGregor’s Qualia.
During the 2007/2008 Season he made his debut as the Bronze Idol and Magdaveya, Head Fakir in Natailia Makarova’s production of La Bayadère, Squirrel Nutkin in Ashton’s Tales of Beatrix Potter and the Blue Boy in Les Patineurs.
