Born: East Yorkshire, United Kingdom
Trained at the Royal Ballet School, White Lodge from 1998-2002 and Upper School from 2002-2005.
After graduating, joined The Royal Ballet in August 2005. Between 2006 and 2009 he toured with the company to Spain, Mexico, the USA, Turkey, China, Japan and Cuba.
Repertoire at RB included:
The Sleeping Beauty (Lilac Fairy Cavalier);
The Nutcracker (Arabian Dance, Waltz of the Flowers);
Swan Lake (Cadets);
Joined the Mariinsky Ballet Company in January 2010.
At the Mariinsky Theatre he made his debut as 'Berangee' in the ballet Raymonda.
Repertoire includes:
Swan Lake (Pas de trois);
Raymonda (Berangee);
Chopiniana (Nocturne, Mazurka, Seventh waltz) – choreography by Michel Fokine;
Serenade – choreography by George Balanchine.
• Recipient of the Young British Dancer of the Year award (2nd prize, London, 2004).
• Prize-winner at the Genée International Ballet Competition (Silver Medal, Athens, 2004).
• Recipient of the Ursula Moreton Choreographic Award (Royal Ballet School’s prize for choreography at school. 1st Prize 2003, 2nd prize 2004).
