Company C Contemporary Ballet is a repertory ballet company founded in 2002 by Charles Anderson and Elizabeth Reed. Since its inception, the company has performed regularly throughout Northern California and made its New York debut in 2006. The Company’s repertoire includes works by some of the most accomplished contemporary choreographers of our times, including Twyla Tharp, Paul Taylor, Anthony Tudor, David Parsons, and Val Caniparoli, among others. The Company has also commissioned new works from talented choreographers such as former New York City Ballet soloist Alexandre Proia, Patrick Corbin, former featured dancer with the Paul Taylor Dance Company, and Gregory Dawson formerly of Alonzo King’s LINES Ballet. In September 2009, the Company collaborated with the Diablo Theater Company and appeared in their production of On The Town. New to the repertoire in 2010 were works by Twyla Tharp, Lar Lubovitch, Charles Moulton, and a world premieres by Amy Seiwert.
